Cold Bay Duck Hunting 2014

After taking a few years off from Hunting Cold bay and Izembek lagoon Aleutian Island Waterfowlers has decided to take up where we left off , As we hunted there for close to 10 years from 1995-2005, having a plane based there many seasons, along with our boats and Gear as we were the first guides in offering commercial guiding with Al Spalliger of Izembek lodge.

 Due to the recent increase in request to go back we have decided to take 3-4 groups down during the prime season of early Oct to  Early November . To target some early season Pacific eiders and Harlequin along with Brant and Teal before we start up in Adak and Kodiak and finish in St Paul Island.  If anyone is interested please give me a call as these limited spots will go fast, as we are offering some heavily discounted packages for the first season with week trips starting at, $3400pp. Duck hunting in Cold Bay is like riding a bike once you done it it comes right back.  We also will be offering DIY unguided hunts Mid Sept- MId Oct with week packages starting around $2400pp and will include a vehicle, lodging and decoys and daily help along with the chance to get a daily guide if you decide to upgrade the trip.

Kodiak Island Duck hunting

Lots of news from Alaska, we recently moved over to Kodiak and will be adding in Kodiak as another one of our top waterfowl destinations. Have been doing some hunting but mostly Scouting till a little layer in the year, due to a real warm fall many of the birds have not made it down this far south yet. Also heres a quick Video of some fast paced shooting last winter on te X.

Just got these pictures of some of our happy Duck hunters from Adak Island Last Year, These were all prime Trophy Pacific Eiders, Harlequin and Aleutian Teal. Congrats to our 

seaduck hunters who scored big with these birds. As always Aleutian Island Waterfowlers is going strong and looking forward to another great year. Looks like we will be offering a few limited hunts on Kodiak Island This Fall in Dec if anyone is interested, Kinda seems like the thing to do since We will be living on Kodiak Fulltime as we are moving this fall from King Salmon to Kodiak.

week 5 duck Hunting Bad weather

Week 5 started out terrible due to a big storm moving in to the Pribilofs and hangin out for a couple days, Our hunters got delayed 3 days due to flight cancellations but when they finally made it on the last day of hunting the group shot really good and although there was allot of pressure Todd and Todd both got some trophy Kings for the trip back. We ended up with another 100% year with all of our king Hunters getting there kings on Island X.

week 4 Gunners Taxidermy Duck hunters

Week 4 King Eider hunting with HArry's Group from Gunners Taxidermy out of Kentucky kept the streak alive with lots more birds and some great shooting, the weather was great till it was time for them to leave, then they paid the price with cancelled flights due to Bad weather. In the ned they had a few extra days on the island and an extra 40lbs of fresh crab was eaten. Thanks again Harry for another great year and continued support. And look forward to seeing you on Adak Next year.

Island X week 3 Jan 8-13

The King Eider hunting has been holding strong and just getting better each day as the ice gets closer to the island. Our group from NJ this week pretty much put the smackdown on em hard . 2 father & son groups this week glad to see them getting to spend some time together. Then some time at the ALeut museum to see all the cool things from there history. We also got a real nice Pacific EIder this week what a true trophy.
