The Facts about Pacific Eider Hunting By the Expert:
If you want a great Pacific Eider hunt In Alaska without the worry of wondering who your guide is and if he knows anything about duck hunting, Then Aleutian Islands Waterfowlers is your choice hands down. Yes there are other locations to hunt Pacific Eiders but the facts are simple and not debatable that Adak Island in November and Aleutian Island Waterfowlers offers the best value multiple species hunt available with a 100% return Policy, during November with minimal risk that weather is gonna shut you down.
Adak weather in January is Horrible and i would never reccomend hunting there that late unfortunately a few hunters in the past have done so with very mixed reviews for Pacific eiders with many getting skunked and so Adak had gotten a marginal Reputation. Its Real simple dont hunt there in the middle of the winter.
All our Nov- early Dec Pacific Eider hunters in 2011 on Adak harvested Trophy Pacific Eiders 100% success and we would be glad to let you talk to them as references.
Were not on Adak collecting glass balls after 1-2 days of hunting or being sent home early or beach combing when the wind blows over 20 or the fresh water river freezes up. Our guest's don't want to fly home early cause your local guide drops you off at the local BB after you kill your Pacific Eiders on the first day with nothing else to do.
On Adak We are here to go hunting and thats what our professional Guides do we take you hunting. We have 8 Species of ducks to go after along with Ptarmigan and we will give you a full week hunt a great value, if you still want more to do you can choose to rent a 4 wheeler and go unguided Caribou hunting for the last couple days. ANyone who has ever hunted with ALeutian Island Waterfowlers knows we will work harder than anyone to get you to the X.
The sheer beauty of Adak and the history vs the windblown Alaska Peninsula on the coast. No comparison
I guess in the end It boils down to what kind of hunt you want, and if you want to hunt with a year round Professional guide with a 26 year history guiding in Alaska or a part time local guide that a booking agent booked you with so he made his 20% commission and gets the taxidermy work, Then go ahead i wish you the best will you kill Eiders Probably but it will not be the same high quality trip we offer. We are in it for 1 reason to build long term relationships with our hunters and become friends and we accomplish this by giving 100% each and every day. We look forward to hunting with you in the future.
